As we continue our 21-day Isaiah 62 Fast, today’s focus is on praying for Israel’s leaders and government. Your commitment to intercede alongside us is making a difference!
Day 2 Prayer Focus: Pray for Wisdom & Unity for Israel’s Leaders Amid Crisis
Scripture: “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” – 1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NKJV)
Today, let’s intercede for Israel’s leaders and government, asking the Lord to grant them wisdom, discernment, and guidance in their decision-making during this critical time. Israel faces internal divisions over judicial reform, sparking mass protests and warnings of potential civil war. External threats include a nuclear-armed Iran and militant groups attacking Jerusalem.
Consider the following points as you pray:
-
Pray for wisdom for Israel’s leaders as they navigate the crisis, that they would seek God’s direction and make decisions in the best interest of the nation.
-
Ask the Lord to bring unity and cooperation among political factions, Jews, and Arabs, to prevent further division and potential civil war.
-
Intercede for protection from external threats, such as Iran’s nuclear program and militant attacks on Jerusalem.
-
Pray that Israel’s leaders will listen to and value the input of Messianic believers working within the government, who gain wisdom from God.
Scriptures you can declare:

-
“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” – Isaiah 9:6
-
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” – Psalm 46:1
-
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.” – Isaiah 54:17
